- It's 1/4 kg of Okras.
- You need 4-5 of Sambhar Onions (Crushed).
- Prepare 3-4 cloves of Garlic (Crushed).
- It's 2 tbsp of Oil.
- Prepare 1/2 tsp of Mustard Seeds.
- Prepare pinch of Asafoetida.
- You need 2-3 of Green Chillies (Halved).
- You need 1 sprig of curry leaves.
- Prepare 1/4 tsp of Turmeric Powder.
- Prepare 1/2 tsp of Chilli Powder.
- It's 1/4 tsp of Pepper Powder.
- Prepare 1/4 tsp of Cumin Powder.
- Prepare 1 tsp of Kitchen King Masala.
- It's 2 tsp of Lemon Juice.
- You need of as required Salt.
Okra Fry instructions
- Wash the okras nicely. Let it dry a bit. Cut into halves lengthwise and set aside..
- In a hand mixer chop the sambar onions and garlic and keep aside. You can also chop it finely in a chopper or you can crush it..
- Heat oil in a cooking pan. Add mustard seeds and allow it to crackle..
- Add asafoetida, green chillies and curry leaves and saute for a minute..
- Add the crushed onions and garlic and saute it lightly..
- Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, pepper powder, cumin powder and kitchen king masala and salt and saute for a minute or two..
- Add the okras and stir fry for a minute. Cover and cook till the okras are cooked..
- Off the flame and add lemon juice and keep covered for about 5 minutes..
- Ready to serve..
