Ingredients of Fry Okra / bhindi

  1. You need 750 gms of okra/bhindi.
  2. It's 2 tbsp of oil.
  3. It's 1 tsp of cumin.
  4. You need 5-6 of curry leaves.
  5. Prepare 2 of medium size onions, finely sliced.
  6. It's To taste of Salt.
  7. It's 1 tsp of coriander seed powder.
  8. Prepare 1 tsp of cumin powder.
  9. It's Pinch of garam masala.
  10. Prepare 1 tsp of red chilli powder.

Fry Okra / bhindi step by step

  1. Firstly, wash okra well under water, wipe each okra until it is dry and cut them into round pieces.take a wok, add oil into it and heat it.add cumin seeds.Add curry leaves into it and let them crackle..
  2. Add sliced onions into it and saute until they turn soft.Add the okra pieces into it and stir on high flame for few minutes.Reduce the flame to sim, cook the lady'finger and stir/toss the lady' finger for every 3-4 minutes until the lady'finger changes it's colour..
  3. Add salt and mix/toss well.cook for 2-3 minutes on sim flame and keep tossing in between..
  4. When the lady'finger gets soft, add roasted coriander seeds powder, cumin powder into it and mix well..
  5. Cook again for 2-3 minutes and stir.lastly, add red chilli powder and garam masala into it, toss/mix well and cook for a minute or two. Serve it..
